Adirondack Birth to Three Alliance Structure and Committee Overview

The Adirondack Birth to Three Alliance is a place for anyone and everyone who wants to strengthen our region so that families can come here,  stay and raise their children.

Steering Committee

The steering committee guides the work of BT3. Members include, but are not limited to: County officials, home visiting organization officials, child care resource and referral agency leaders, retired physicians and superintendents, and more.

Alliance

Quarterly full membership meetings provide an opportunity for collaborations and connections between community members, service providers, dedicated advocates, and families who work with and care deeply about ensuring our Adirondack families with young children thrive. Meetings include focused discussions regarding the work of members and BT3. Ample time included for information-sharing between members.

Stand Up for Child Care

Convening of regional leaders in child care, business, and workforce development to understand best practices and brainstorm and implement solutions. This group is also engaged in state level advocacy to ensure policy and funding best meets our rural region’s needs and barriers are reduced to ensure child care providers are able to access all opportunities.

Equitable Access Workgroup

A forum for the early childhood community to share best practices, offer information, training, and professional development to early childhood educators and providers, and promote and support diversity, equity, and inclusion so no young child or family is left unserved or unsupported.

Home Visiting Workgroup

A shared space and time for home visiting professionals, interested BT3 members, and parents/caregivers to come together, establish regional solutions or identify advocacy objectives to address gaps and barriers, and maximize successes to ensure families access home visiting services and supports.

Family Supports Workgroup

Group working to ensure: family support professionals feel connected and supported, opportunities and events are shared and promoted, the stigma around parents seeking and receiving support services is removed, and community awareness, including with caregivers and pediatricians, about family support services is increased.

Parent Advisory Council

Since 2023, BT3 has engaged parents and caregivers from across the region in our convening, decision-making, and advocacy. Members
